Ryusuke Juge, born November 14, 1966 in Kobe, Japan, began his study of martial arts at the age of 7. He has been a jiki deshi (direct student) of Kai Kuniyuki Sensei since 1991. Sensei Ryusuke Juge teaches students to use balance of strength in any attack or defense. However, the training that he puts students through also involves strength and mental control. Perfect harmony between your mind, body, and spirit is the goal in which he wants his students to obtain. He is the currently the Canadian Director for Nippon Budoin Seibukan. He teaches out of the Seibukan Tradtitional Martial Arts of Canada Honbu.

My primary goal in coming to Canada was to spread the authentic and effective way of teaching Traditional Budo. Traditional Budo (Martial Art) teaches the most important basic foundation of Martial Art techniques. These techniques have been studied, trained, tested and refined by our ancestors for hundreds of years.

In this process of technical refinement, the other aspect of mental and spiritual training as well as physical fitness and health combine to form the martial way – Budo or Bushido. This is the goal for unification of Shin Gi Tai (mental/spiritual, technical, physical).

After he started learning Yoshinkan Aikido from Shioda Gozo Sensei, Shindo-Muso-Ryu Jodo from Shiokawa Hosho Sensei, Muso-Jikiden-Eishin-Ryu Iaido from Ikeda Seiko Sensei, Traditional Jujutsu from Kaminaga Shigemi Sensei. The Nippon Budoin Seibukan’s soul is to learn the spirit of humanity with courtesy and friendship, by learning Shin, Gi and Tai. Believing that the Martial Arts consists of more than skill in combat, we must always pay heed to the spirit and virtues of Budo. Our Dojo is a comprehensive school which spreads and develops both the Japanese spirit and the skill of flexible offensive and defensive combat with or without weapons. Based on pride and confidence, we, the Nippon Budoin Seibukan, are realizing our dream to hand on Kokoro, or "Spirit",and Waza, or "Skill", to people all over the World.
